Croissant heaven is real: croffles, croissant bagels, croissant balls... Hannam-dong AUFGLET has arrived in Taipei!
There are so many Taipei-only dishes you won’t believe it!
There really is something about croissants that makes you want to take two home every time you see them. If you can’t resist them either, you may have noticed that Korean brand AUFGLET has opened its first café in Taiwan. With everything from croissant balls and croissant churros to croissant bagels, plus its original croffles, this is definitely one to add to your list.

AUFGLET’s croissants are a definite must-order. Using imported ingredients, the Taipei location recreates the croissants served at its Korea store. Choose from “croissant balls” filled with vanilla or chocolate custard, “croissant bagels” with a chewy yet crisp texture, and “croissant churros,” which take their crisp, buttery aroma to the fullest. There’s also the original croffle, made by pressing layered croissant dough into the shape of a Liège waffle. Beneath its golden, crisp exterior is a soft, fluffy center that will leave you wanting another bite.

And what better partner for a croissant than a drink? The signature “whipped cream coffee” combines espresso and milk with whipped cream flavored with vanilla and condensed milk, then finished with a dusting of cinnamon. Also recommended is the Taipei-exclusive “black cocoa hojicha coconut milk,” which pairs cocoa’s bitterness with the roasted fragrance of hojicha and refreshing coconut milk. There are also plenty of caffeine-free drinks, juices, and sparkling beverages.

AUFGLET Taipei also offers a wide selection of savory dishes, all exclusive to Taipei. Its all-day brunch menu includes lighter options such as salads, yogurt bowls, and toast, as well as the “special Korean kimchi fried rice,” which adds avocado, a common element in contemporary brunch, to kimchi fried rice. Other options include the “pan-seared black pork loin steak” and the “maple fried chicken croffle,” which turns the croffle into a savory base. These dishes are set to revive the brunch scene in Taipei’s East District. The café also plans to stay open past sunset in the future.
