Who could embody this kind of elegance better than her? 🥹
Among today’s actors with a classically elegant air who can also pull off a lively, fashion-forward style, Lily Collins is likely the first name that comes to mind for many. Since making her debut, the Emily in Paris star has often been compared to legendary screen icon Audrey Hepburn for her striking features and signature bold brows. Now, that connection across generations is finally becoming reality: Lily Collins is confirmed to portray Hollywood’s eternal “embodiment of elegance” in a new biopic.

Lily Collins will produce and star in this highly anticipated biopic, which will focus on behind-the-scenes moments from Audrey Hepburn’s time filming the cinematic classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s (Hong Kong title: Breakfast at Tiffany’s). Released in 1961, the film cemented Audrey’s unshakable status in cinema. Her image in a black gown, pearl necklace, and long black gloves, eating breakfast in front of a Tiffany & Co. window, has become an enduring moment that defines “luxury.”

Reportedly, the production team has put significant effort into the costumes and sets to recreate the glamour of 1960s New York. Unlike previous biopics, this film is more focused on Audrey’s personal growth as a woman at a turning point in her career, behind the glamour of stardom. It also calls to mind the “quiet luxury” trend that has recently taken over fashion: Audrey Hepburn’s appeal lies in an understated elegance that radiates from within, without needing to announce itself.

The film is still in development, and its release date and remaining cast have yet to be officially announced. Still, the casting of Lily Collins alone is enough to inspire confidence in the project.
