Blending childhood picture books into makeup: rom&nd teams up with Miffy for a limited collection, and this “book-style” packaging is totally collector-worthy

If you’re into beauty, you’re probably already familiar with Korean brand rom&nd. With its great value and beautifully curated shades, it’s long been a fixture on many women’s vanities. This time, rom&nd seems ready to come for everyone’s wallets again. The brand recently unveiled images from its collaboration with Miffy, the beloved Dutch cartoon character, and the playful designs are enough to make you want every shade in the collection.
A burst of childhood fun: Makeup packaged in “storybooks”
The packaging is undoubtedly the most eye-catching part of this collaboration. rom&nd cleverly incorporates Miffy’s classic picture-book style into the product packaging. The images released so far show blushes and contour products in hardcover cases shaped like books. The vivid yellow, blue, and orange color blocking, paired with Miffy’s signature simple lines, makes them look like miniature storybooks in your hands and a definite visual highlight in your makeup bag.

Building on the finely milled texture of the brand’s signature Better Than Cheek blush, this version features covers depicting Miffy reading and everyday scenes. The pink-toned pans are embossed with adorable Miffy faces and little bear motifs, with thoughtful details throughout.

The highlighter and contour palettes also come in book-shaped packaging, with several shimmering highlighter shades and matte contour shades inside. The Miffy-and-calendar embossing on the highlighter palette is so delicate, you’ll hardly want to put a brush to it!
rom&nd x Miffy Collection 3. Blurffy Lip Crayon
Beyond the book series, the collection also includes lip crayons that resemble colored wax crayons, even giving the impression of a collaboration with a real crayon brand. They’re full of playful childhood charm.

The brand’s signature Juicy Lasting Tint is here, too, with Miffy in different expressions printed on the tubes to make touch-ups a little more soothing.
Beauty-brand collaborations with cartoon IPs are no longer new, but rom&nd’s strength lies in doing more than simply printing a character on its products: It brings Miffy’s picture-book spirit into the products’ structure. This story-like packaging meets practical needs while also stirring the urge to collect.
