#MFW: Messy but Magnetic! Diesel Fall/Winter 2026 Show, GLENN MARTENS’ Rave Aesthetic Is So Alluring

The Fall/Winter 2026 Milan Fashion Week is in full swing, and the spotlight turns to the dreamlike playground creative director GLENN MARTENS has created for DIESEL. It feels as though the brand’s nearly 50-year “memorabilia vault” has been thrown open, with 50,000 wild collectibles piled up at the center of the runway. From sex toys to Santa decorations, it is absurd yet captivating, perfectly capturing that slightly shameful yet still self-assured post-hangover walk.
Titled “Diesel Memorabilia,” this season continues Martens’ signature “regenerative creativity,” repurposing discarded props from the brand’s past runway shows, events, and window displays to bring back party remnants that were meant to be forgotten: giant dinosaurs, astronaut suits, motorcycles, inflatable monsters, jeweled shoes, even small items from employees’ offices and looks from founder Renzo Rosso’s birthday parties. All are stacked into an almost out-of-control “sea of life’s fragments.”

The pieces, too, capture the lingering mood after the party ends: knitwear and jeans are permanently creased and twisted, as if they had just been picked up from the floor and thrown on. The fabrics have the rumpled feel of bed sheets, scattered with colorful confetti and blurred marks that leave behind a bodily memory of “having been pressed.” The mix of denim and formal tailoring reveals a hint of pleasure and release amid the decadence. Overall, the looks sit between disorder and precision, echoing that real, unguarded state after a night of revelry.

Faux fur pieced together from deadstock fabrics, along with playful details such as explosive floral patterns, lace-jacquard hems, and lustrous organza, adds a light contrast to the scene while standing apart from Diesel’s characteristically grungy language. Twisted and distressed lines, flocked denim, faded patterned shirts, and plaid skirts casually tied around the waist preserve a deliberate sense of stylistic order amid the chaos.
This season, DIESEL seems to reflect life as we are living it now: messy and emotionally saturated, yet real and captivating.
