Even Crocs turn ethereal: SUSAN FANG’s Spring/Summer 2027 reveals the Echo Blume

Fresh off the runway at London’s Barbican Centre, SUSAN FANG’s Spring/Summer 2027 show felt like stepping into a garden in full bloom. As models emerged in dreamy, sheer bubble qipao dresses, it was hard not to be drawn to the Crocs on their feet, covered in tiny flowers.

The ethereal Crocs Echo Blume makes its debut
The surprise reveal on the runway was the global debut of Crocs’ upcoming new Echo Lume silhouette. SUSAN FANG transformed it into the romantic Echo Blume collaboration, with clusters of metallic flowers blooming across the upper. Created through 3D animation and natural fractal formulas, these flowers have a sense of movement and a futuristic feel.
The shoe comes in three colorways: understated black with a black floral base, pink with a translucent base and pink metallic flowers, and white with a geometric base that has an iridescent rainbow sheen. Choosing among the three is genuinely difficult, though you’ll need to wait a little longer to wear them: the collaboration is set to officially launch worldwide in spring 2027.
A romantic vision inspired by “M. Butterfly”
Turning to the clothing itself, this season draws inspiration from the classic story “M. Butterfly,” exploring emotions in love that may be illusory yet still feel real. Along with the signature sheer bubble elements, the garments feature shattered-porcelain-like prints and airy embroidery.
To create these details, SUSAN FANG also partnered with Bambu Lab, using 3D-printing technology to produce neon lace resembling porcelain paintings and trompe-l’oeil flip-flops. Beijing jade-carving master Li Ke was also invited to create exquisite jade earrings for the collection, lightly weaving traditional craftsmanship into the forward-looking runway show.
