If you’ve been looking for somewhere to unwind on weekends while missing the aroma of coffee in Kyoto’s side streets, Swire Properties’ first cross-community coffee festival, “Coffee Voyage 悠遊咖期 2026,” coming this October, will fill up your weekend calendar. Spanning three neighborhoods, the event brings together more than 40 popular Japanese and Hong Kong brands, with renowned Japanese illustrator Yu Nagaba lending his touch to make it a delight for the palate and the eyes.

A roundup of Japan’s champion-level lineup of coffee favorites making their Hong Kong debut
For coffee lovers with discerning palates, this exhibitor lineup is hard to resist. More than 12 brands and coffee professionals are making their Hong Kong debut, saving you the cost of a flight to Japan. The lineup includes OGAWA COFFEE, a 70-year Kyoto institution known as “Kyoto locals’ coffee,” along with Okaffe Kyoto, led by Japanese champion barista Akihiro Okada.
Also on the editor’s personal can’t-miss list are here Kyoto, a popular Kyoto coffee shop founded by free-pour latte art champion Junichi Yamaguchi, and Direct Coffee Kyoto, known for its minimalist aesthetic. Along with popular local shops such as Coffee Ah Ng Goh and Blossom, there’s something for every taste, whether you prefer a bright, fruity pour-over or a creamy latte.

The event gets the artistic atmosphere just right, too. Organizers invited Yu Nagaba to create exclusive event visuals in his minimalist illustration style, along with a range of limited-edition items including T-shirts, canvas tote bags, tumbler sleeves, and eco-friendly drinking cups made from coffee grounds.
The event also naturally incorporates sustainability into daily life, with coffee-ground tie-dye accents on booth installations and an on-site coffee-ground upcycling workshop. Eligible members can purchase an experience set for HK$ 80, which includes two coffee redemption vouchers and a co-branded eco-friendly drinking cup, making it a good value compared with similar markets.

What makes “悠遊咖期 2026” special is that it isn’t confined to a single venue; instead, it moves through the city throughout October. It kicks off in the artsy Starstreet Precinct from October 1 to 4, then moves to the Taikoo area (Cityplaza and Taikoo Place) from October 8 to 11, bringing a laid-back touch to the workday, before wrapping up at Citygate Outlets from October 22 to 25.
