Known for its bold, sculptural designs, Italian jewelry brand Panconesi has officially launched its first Home Objects collection, treating vases, candelabras, and clocks as objects with the same emotional and symbolic significance as jewelry. This marks the first time the brand has extended its creative perspective from the body into the living space, turning home objects into another kind of artwork to be collected, contemplated, and experienced.

A piece that sparks conversation

The brand has named the collection Conversation Piece, referring to works that naturally inspire conversation and discussion. It hopes each piece will be more than an object sitting quietly in a space; through the interaction of material, light, time, and the user, it becomes something that can engage in dialogue with people. As creative director Marco Panconesi puts it, “Each piece is not just meant to be looked at, but to be experienced.”

The vase body is made of mirror-finished chrome and incorporates natural gemstones including tiger’s eye, agate, chalcedony, pyrite, and obsidian. Outward-reaching metal supports hold the stones as if they were planets moving along an orbit, giving the otherwise still vase a sense of movement and growth.

Colored natural gemstones replace traditional numeral markers, with each hour marked by a different mineral. As light falls across the gemstones and polished metal surfaces, the materials reveal rich layers, allowing the clock to move beyond its role as a timekeeping tool and become more like a sculptural work that can be displayed in a space.

Inspired by totems, the design layers mahogany obsidian, snowflake obsidian, orange calcite, amazonite, Botswana agate, and red jasper into an upward-reaching three-dimensional structure. When lit, the stones’ natural patterns reveal different layers as light and shadow shift, making the candelabra more than a lighting fixture: it becomes a spatial installation that brings together sculpture, material, and light.

Rather than simply enlarging jewelry into home objects, Panconesi extends its exploration of sculpture, materials, and natural gemstones from the body into the living space.
