Not a sub-unit debut: An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung turn their “An-Youngs” memories into a two-person exhibition
From walking side by side in IZ*ONE to IVE, the two are using previously unreleased photos to say hello again with “AN-YOUNG.”
Summary
- IVE members Ahn Yu-jin and Jang Won-young are launching a two-person exhibition, “AN-YOUNG IN SEOUL,” opening September 5 at THE SEOULITEUM in Seoul.
- The exhibition will showcase previously unreleased photos of the two, media art, and interactive experiences that visitors can directly take part in, capturing different sides of them offstage.
- “AN-YOUNG” both echoes the pair’s long-standing unit nickname “안녕즈” given by fans, and plays on the Korean word “안녕,” which can mean a casual greeting as well as asking how someone has been.
A teaser consisting of just one word, “안녕,” had fans thinking IVE’s first sub-unit was finally on the way.
The reveal showed it wasn’t a new song after all, though it may be more personal than expected. An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung will jointly present the two-person exhibition “AN-YOUNG IN SEOUL,” revisiting moments from their journey that were never fully documented on official stages through photos, video, and the exhibition space.
The exhibition’s official account first teased it with a retro telephone, a mysterious silhouette, and a simple “hello.” Without any details about the nature of the project, fans briefly speculated that the pair might be forming an IVE sub-unit. The answer was officially announced on August 26: this time, it’s not a stage performance, but an exhibition dedicated to the two of them.

“AN-YOUNG” already contains both of their names

Fans have long called An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung “안녕즈.” The nickname comes from their names and also plays on the sound and spelling of the Korean word “안녕.”
And “안녕” itself has more than one meaning. It can be “hello” when meeting someone for the first time, a farewell when saying goodbye, or a way to ask, “How have you been lately?”
So “AN-YOUNG IN SEOUL” doesn’t simply turn their names into a pretty title; it makes the idea of a greeting the heart of the exhibition. Through different formats, the pair says hello to DIVE entering the exhibition and invites fans to look back on the moments they’ve shared along the way.
From IZ*ONE to IVE, they’ve been together for a long time

For fans familiar with them, An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung’s story didn’t begin with IVE’s debut. Both were previously members of IZ*ONE, and after the project’s activities ended, they returned to the same stage in 2021 as members of IVE.
Having gone from their teens to becoming two of IVE’s most recognizable members today, they have each developed very different public images. Beyond the stage, An Yujin shows her candid, lively side through variety shows and hosting, while Jang Wonyoung has expanded from music into fashion, beauty, and brand partnerships, becoming one of South Korea’s most recognizable icons of her generation in recent years.
That’s what makes this two-person exhibition so interesting: it’s not simply about bringing two popular members together, but looking back at two paths that have each developed their own colors while always moving forward side by side.

Starship Entertainment says the exhibition will feature previously unreleased photos capturing An Yujin and Jang Wonyoung’s different charms, along with media art and interactive experiences for visitors.
In other words, this won’t simply be an idol exhibition with photos on the walls. Through the space, it aims to create new interactions between fans and the memories shared with the pair.
The latest official announcement says “AN-YOUNG IN SEOUL” will open at THE SEOULITEUM in Seoul on September 5, 2026. The full exhibition dates, admission arrangements, and ticketing details have yet to be announced.
From its first teaser being mistaken for a sub-unit to the eventual reveal of a two-person exhibition, this may suit the name “AN-YOUNG” even better. Rather than rushing to define their relationship with a song, this time they have preserved the time they’ve shared in a space, waiting for fans to walk in and say, “Long time no see.”
