Follow j-hope to the new store! HUMAN MADE Harajuku flagship opens with an eye-catching giant lion
j-hope and NIGO visit HUMAN MADE TOKYO
I clicked on the photos just to see j-hope, but ended up wanting to check out the store behind him too. NIGO recently shared a photo with j-hope, captioned “Special tour hosted by NIGO,” personally showing him around the new space. In the photo, j-hope is wearing a dark denim jacket and khaki trousers, standing in front of a glass counter. But look further back, and it’s hard to miss that giant lion and the entire wall of HUMAN MADE storage boxes.
The place that makes you want to walk right in is HUMAN MADE TOKYO, which just opened in Harajuku, Tokyo, on September 26. After seeing their photos together, there’s definitely a new stop to add to your Tokyo shopping list.

HUMAN MADE TOKYO is the brand’s first flagship store and its largest location yet. As you can see in the photos, the space uses glass, metal, and neatly arranged storage boxes to create a bright, clean warehouse vibe. Familiar lifestyle items are scaled up into an entire wall, making you want to step closer to see what’s tucked inside each compartment.
The lion behind j-hope and NIGO is the signature animal exclusive to this store. The massive 3D figure has an illustration-like charm that really stands out against the gray storage boxes and transparent counters. After seeing the photo, beyond studying their outfits, you’ll probably want to stand in that exact spot to see just how big the lion really is.
Check out the new space, then take home a limited-edition little lion

To celebrate the opening, HUMAN MADE has also launched a series of limited-edition items, putting the lion motif on T-shirts, hoodies, and keychains. While the large lion in the store captures your attention, the smaller, take-home versions make for the perfect trip memento.
Other options include a store-exclusive colorway for the MA-1 jacket and a gradient heart graphic top. j-hope’s photos might be your introduction to the store, but once you walk in, there are plenty of space and product details to take in slowly. Next time you’re in Harajuku, remember to leave a little extra time for this stop.
