A few months later, the new Anna collaboration between Japanese fashion brand ISSEY MIYAKE and Spanish footwear maker Camper is finally set to officially launch on July 15. When heading out, everyone wants a pair of shoes that flatters the legs without leaving your feet sore. This new design, which combines a fashion-forward look with exceptional comfort, does exactly that.
This collaboration was created by ISSEY MIYAKE creative director Satoshi Kondo (Satoshi Kondo) and Camper’s footwear design team. Inspired by the idea of “wearing shoes like socks,” they used a soft, breathable TENCEL blend and precise knitting techniques to create an upper that gently and flexibly hugs the feet and calves.
To balance the softness of the knit material, the sole features a highly structured support design and a crisp pointed-toe silhouette. The shoe looks sculptural, yet feels unbelievably relaxed to wear.
Two styles that are easy to wear for the daily commute
The Anna collection comes in two different heights. The first is a low-heeled style with a subtle lift, available in versatile classic black and beige that fit seamlessly into slightly formal office looks. The other is a sock boot that lengthens the legs, offered in basic black as well as vivid bright blue and deep navy, both full of visual impact.
Among collaboration shoes at a similar price point, Anna’s clear advantage is that it makes avant-garde design feel less intimidating.
