This time it’s the minimalist Speedcat: Jil Sander x Puma sneakers quietly debut at Milan Fashion Week

With low-profile shoes so popular lately, it’s hard to resist the clean lines of Puma’s Speedcat in minimalist all-black from Jil Sander. At Jil Sander’s Spring/Summer 2027 Milan Fashion Week show, perhaps your eye, like ours, was drawn to the sneakers worn by guests such as Meadow Walker.

All-black Speedcat by the runway

At first glance, this all-black Speedcat’s silhouette feels especially sleek. Jil Sander and Puma have left out any elaborate embellishments for this collaboration, retaining the Speedcat’s signature low-profile racing-shoe design and pairing it with an understated black upper for a cool, composed feel. Alongside the all-black version, a clean white colorway is reportedly on the way.

The classic Suede is part of the lineup, too

Alongside the highly discussed Speedcat, the collaboration lineup also quietly includes another Puma classic: the Suede. Although the official close-up photos released so far are limited, the choice of these two styles alone reveals Jil Sander creative director Simone Bellotti‘s preference for low-profile designs that hug the foot. This marks the third surprise from the pair since they resumed their partnership last October.

Release details are still to be announced

As early as 1998, when Jil Sander first transformed Puma soccer shoes into premium leather sneakers, it foreshadowed the rise of close-fitting silhouettes. There is still no specific release date or pricing for this Speedcat and Suede collaboration. If you’re looking for a pair of low-profile shoes that won’t be too easy to match with others, keep them on your list for now.
