Do you remember last year’s “CHIIKAWA DAYS,” which sparked a citywide craze? Organizer AllRightsReserved has an even bigger surprise in store this summer. It has officially announced that the all-new “CHIIKAWA ARTIVERSE” special exhibition will return from August 1 to September 6, 2026. This time, it will be held at K11 MUSEA in Tsim Sha Tsui and expand into a sprawling art universe.

Step into the four universes imagined by Nagano

Unlike the purely immersive experiences of the past, this special exhibition places greater emphasis on illustrator Nagano’s artistry, inviting visitors to explore the deeper appeal of work that is “more than just cute.” For the first time, the exhibition traces the creative journey across four dimensions: the “Original Art Universe,” “Music Interactive Universe,” “Installation Art Universe,” and the much-anticipated outdoor “Kinetic Art Universe: CHIIKAWA Giant Carousel.” Spread across K11 MUSEA’s ticketed indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, these four worlds let fans immerse themselves fully in CHIIKAWA’s universe.

More than 130 precious original works to be exhibited in Hong Kong for the first time

The indoor exhibition area on the 6th floor of K11 MUSEA is sure to be the heart of the show for fans. For the first time in Hong Kong, it will present more than 130 reproductions of Nagano’s precious original works and character design drawings, allowing visitors to observe up close the creative path through which the characters and their world intertwine, and feel the distinctive vitality held in every line.

Beyond the original works, the “Installation Art Universe” brings together several three-dimensional sculptures that are sure to delight fans. Sculptures of Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi in their “extra-fluffy” forms will make their global debut here, alongside a giant sculpture of “That Kid,” as well as a giant “Siren” sculpture and movie-version characters appearing overseas for the first time. With on-site sound and light sensor technology, the entire space feels like a mysterious setting where the characters and their surroundings coexist.

Giant public art meets the romance of the Victoria Harbour waterfront

The special exhibition’s most eye-catching visual highlight, however, is undoubtedly the outdoor exhibition area on the ground-level Promenade along Victoria Harbour. Illustrator Nagano created an all-new “CHIIKAWA Carousel” concept especially for this exhibition, and the AllRightsReserved team overcame structural engineering challenges to bring it to life as a large-scale installation. Combining character elements with kinetic aesthetics, this public artwork blends into Victoria Harbour’s beautiful scenery and, accompanied by the sea breeze, takes on distinctly different dreamlike looks by day and night.
