Between mist, tea, and objects: YMS Gallery 4’s new exhibition “Mountain Seen” lets you feel the mountains through tea tables and crafted wares

• Gallery 4 at YMS by onefifteen will present its new exhibition, “Mountain Seen,” from June 13 to October 11, 2026, bringing together six creators, including Wang Yifang, who use a range of objects to create a miniature Yangmingshan.
• During the exhibition, YMS will partner with premium tea space AINSI THÉ on a limited tea-table experience led by a tea server, featuring teas inspired by mountain landscapes alongside the artists’ teaware and incense vessels.
• The limited tea-table experience will be held on just three dates: June 27, July 17, and August 14. There will be two sessions daily, at 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., with a maximum of eight guests per session.
• Participating artists will also be invited to join the tea-table experience for conversation, extending the exhibition beyond viewing into tea, scent, and touch, and creating an immersive mountain-living pause centered on time and the senses.

As an important space within the complex connecting art and everyday sensory experience, Gallery 4 will present its new exhibition, “Mountain Seen,” from June 13 to October 11, 2026. Taking “mountain” as a starting point for looking at nature and sensing the body, the exhibition responds to the Yangmingshan landscape where YMS is located, its historic buildings, and the mountain climate. Mist, moss, springs, minerals, geothermal heat, and mountain haze become a spatial vocabulary to see, move through, and experience physically.

This exhibition brings together six creators – Wang Yifang, Li Caiyu, Lin Jingrong, Shenti Shandao, Chen Yingting, and Su Jianlin – each responding to different states of the mountain through teaware, sculpture, fiber, incense vessels, writing, and everyday objects. From springs and soil, animal habitats, and transparent, flowing water vapor to wind-carved mountain forms, the corrosion of time, and mineral textures, the works together create a miniature Yangmingshan in Gallery 4, allowing visitors to feel as though they are slowly entering the mountains as they move through the space. During the exhibition, the “AINSI THÉ × YMS ‘Mountain Seen’ Limited Tea-Table Experience” will also be offered. Premium tea space AINSI THÉ will prepare the teas and tea service, guided by tea server Jasmine Wu. The tea-table experience will pair three teas related to mountain landscapes with teaware, incense vessels, and sculptures by the exhibiting artists, extending the experience from viewing the works to tea, scent, the feel of objects, and conversations with the artists.

The limited tea-table experience will be held on June 27, July 17, and August 14, with two sessions daily, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Each session is limited to eight guests. Participating artists will also attend select sessions, making the tea table an immersive pause centered on time, the senses, and nature. “Mountain Seen” is more than an art exhibition; it is also an entry point into YMS’s mountain-living experience. Beginning at Gallery 4, amid the mist, tea, objects, and natural atmosphere of Yangmingshan, visitors can see the mountain and reconnect with daily life.
