Imagine stepping into a space covered with soft pillows, picking any spot to lie down, and letting the music slowly envelop you—just thinking about it feels relaxing. Titled “ceiling service vol.12,” the project took place at Wellness Cruise Hannam in Seoul’s Hannam-dong neighborhood. Inside, white pillows covered nearly the entire floor. Under glowing purple lights, the space felt like it was floating among the clouds. Visitors could choose their favorite spot—sitting, lying down, or simply closing their eyes—to relax their bodies with the music, offering a listening experience completely unlike a traditional performance.

Unlike ceiling service’s previous listening events, which were structured in 240-minute sets, this edition featured an open format. Visitors were free to explore at their own pace rather than follow a fixed performance schedule. From the live music and soft pillows to the hazy lighting, every detail drew people in, redefining how music is experienced. Instead of watching a stage, the venue encouraged guests to focus on their own bodies and feelings.

The five-day exhibition drew thousands of visitors, with some even returning for a second session. When daily life gets packed with schedules, what we really need might just be a place where we can do nothing. With no tasks to complete and nothing to chase, simply lying back on a cozy pillow and letting the music accompany a moment of quiet is beautiful enough.
