Fairmont New Orleans is located at 1010 Common Street, close to the French Quarter, Superdome, convention center, and Mississippi River. The building was formerly home to Bank of New Orleans. Once renovated, the space, once defined by business and finance, will become a luxury hotel combining accommodations, dining, leisure, and social spaces.

The hotel plans 250 guest rooms and suites, with interiors inspired by New Orleans culture that pair historically inspired materials with contemporary lines. Rooms will feature marble entryways, vanities, and bright sitting areas reminiscent of sunrooms, while select room types will overlook the French Quarter, city skyline, and Mississippi River.
Fairmont describes the hotel as blending New Orleans’ Southern rhythm with the grandeur of a mid-century skyscraper. Without leaving the building, guests can take in city views from day into night, watching the lights come on from the 31st-floor bar or looking out over the river and downtown from the rooftop pool.

In addition to its sky bar and rooftop pool, Fairmont New Orleans will feature a spa and wellness center spanning about 10,000 square feet, or 930 square meters, as well as a speakeasy-style bar. Its multipurpose event spaces total nearly 20,000 square feet and can accommodate large banquets and city events.
For dining, New Orleans chef Emeril Lagasse will bring Delmonico Steakhouse and The Café by Emeril to the hotel. The old bank will no longer represent only a preserved piece of history; it will once again become a place for people to eat, drink, relax, and gather. Once the final transaction is complete, this building’s new story will truly be ready to begin.
