TOMS’ latest Bear Hug Mystery Drop gives the classic Alpargata a plush makeover, complete with embroidered bear patterns. Adding to the fun, this release brings in a blind-bag twist: you pick the size, but the color stays a secret until you open the packaging.

The Bear Hug takes the Alpargata’s simple slip-on silhouette and swaps in a faux shearling upper paired with a fleece lining. The originally sleek shoe gets a fluffy upgrade, looking exactly as if a teddy bear’s soft fur was turned directly into a wearable pair of shoes.
The cutest detail is the little embroidered bears scattered across the upper. The dark and light brown versions carry familiar teddy bear tones, while the colorful bears on the cream upper feel more playful. Paired with jeans, a knit sweater, or a long skirt, they add a touch of whimsy to any simple outfit.

The line is sold in sealed blind bags, meaning you won’t know which color you’ve got until it arrives. With four colorways for women’s shoes and two for kids, the usual process of debating over shades turns into a small moment of surprise.
The collection currently includes women’s, kids’, and toddlers’ styles, available exclusively at TOMS.com. Women’s shoes run US$ 80, while kids’ and toddlers’ styles are US$ 55 and US$ 50, respectively.
