This collaboration overturns everything you thought you knew about climbing gear!
From trail running to climbing, French performance running brand SATISFY continues to explore new possibilities for apparel in outdoor settings. For its second collaboration with Levi’s®, the brand looks back to Yosemite’s climbing culture of the 1970s, blending classic American denim with modern technical design for the new “STONER” series, which brings together heritage, outdoor performance, and street style.

From the classic 501 to climbing gear: Redefining what denim can do

The collection’s highlight, the Re-Possessed™ 501® Climb Jeans, is made from vintage, U.S.-made Levi’s® 501® jeans dating from the 1970s to the 1990s. Each pair retains the fading and signs of wear left by time. Lightweight, tear-resistant Rippy™ fabric reinforces the knees for greater abrasion resistance, while an adjustable webbing belt, secure zippered pockets, and multiple storage options enhance freedom of movement and durability for climbing without sacrificing the classic straight-leg silhouette.

Alongside the climbing jeans, the collection reinterprets Levi’s® classic Western denim shirt, retaining its signature shoulder yoke and snap-button design while adding functional details such as sealed Rippy™ pockets and an Ice Pocket. The result balances the character of vintage denim with outdoor needs. The Half Dome T-Shirt, meanwhile, features a more breathable construction and a “STONER” graphic that evokes summer climbing and outdoor exploration.
A tribute to the Stonemasters, who changed climbing culture

The collaboration’s name, “STONER,” comes from the legendary Stonemasters climbing group, which was active in Yosemite in the United States during the 1970s. Wearing Levi’s jeans as they climbed rock faces, they reshaped modern climbing culture through their free-spirited style and minimalist gear, making denim part of climbing history. SATISFY now brings this story into the present, breathing new life into classic jeans through technical design and making the SATISFY x Levi’s® “STONER” collection a cultural dialogue spanning half a century.
