Hello Kitty fans are about to cave again! Madhappy teams up with Sanrio for a second time, with cherry knits and pastel hoodies that are too cute to handle
It’s just way too cute!
Cute doesn’t always have to mean sweet. Add a touch of laid-back California spirit, and it becomes even more tempting to wear out. Los Angeles lifestyle brand Madhappy has once again teamed up with Sanrio for its second Hello Kitty collaboration. This time, the collection extends from clothing and accessories to limited-edition drinks, all tied together by playful cherries that Hello Kitty fans may find hard to resist.
Hello Kitty Takes on California Casual Style
Building on the popularity of their first collaboration, Madhappy once again reinterprets Hello Kitty’s classic cuteness through the brand’s signature bright colors and comfortable silhouettes. The collection includes graphic T-shirts, shirts, knitwear, hoodies, casual wear, and accessories, incorporating character imagery, bows, and cherries into everyday designs. Madhappy official
The pastel hoodies retain Madhappy’s signature relaxed silhouettes, while crisp shirts and retro knitwear add a touch of American collegiate style. Even those who don’t usually wear character-themed pieces can easily work them into their everyday wardrobes. Inspired by the idea that “small actions can also carry important meaning,” the collection brings together the friendship and warmth represented by Hello Kitty with Madhappy’s signature optimistic spirit.
Cherries Appear Beyond the Clothing
To celebrate the collection’s launch, Madhappy enlisted Los Angeles creative studio PlayLab Inc. to create a limited-time installation called “Connected Cherries” at its West Hollywood flagship store. Giant figures of Hello Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy are connected by cherries, transforming the collaboration’s central motif into a three-dimensional scene and adding a cute highlight worth photographing and collecting. The surprises don’t stop there. Madhappy’s coffee concept, Pantry, has also introduced two limited-edition flavors: the “Cherry Hibiscus Matcha Lemonade,” made with Nekohama matcha and fresh lemon juice, and the sweet-tart, refreshing “Cherry Lemon Swirl Soft Serve,” extending the collaboration from the wardrobe to the taste buds.
The second Madhappy × Hello Kitty collaboration is now available on Madhappy’s website and at its stores. The limited-time installation and food and beverage offerings are available at select locations in West Hollywood and Malibu. Those hoping to collect the pieces may want to act quickly, as some popular accessories are already listed as sold out.
