Is CHANEL raising prices again? A new wave of 2026 adjustments will make classic bags harder and harder to get

Recently, rumors of another round of price adjustments have brought CHANEL’s classic collections and their collectible value back into the spotlight.

Recent reports from international media suggest that CHANEL may introduce another round of price adjustments on April 2. The brand has not officially confirmed this, however, so the situation remains under market scrutiny. The reports also noted that the last closely watched price update came in August 2025, followed by further adjustments to the Chanel 25 collection in November 2025. This time, attention is again on several of its most iconic collections, including the Classic Flap, Boy Bag, Chanel 19, Chanel 22, and Chanel 25. International media estimate that prices could rise by around 3% to 4% overall, with many bags increasing by about US$ 300 to US$ 400.

The Classic Small Flap Bag is rumored to rise from US$ 10,900 to US$ 11,300, an increase of about 3.7%. Prices for other styles have not been fully confirmed, though based on current pricing, the Classic, Boy Bag, and Chanel 19, 22, and 25 collections will likely remain at the center of the discussion. Beyond the price itself, people also care about the enduring presence of CHANEL’s classic bags. When a bag can transcend trends and time and remain on wish lists across generations, it represents more than the fashion of the moment; it holds a classic value that continues to be recognized anew.
