The ceremony is a rare annual feast, but it takes plenty of stamina for the stars. From hair and makeup to the red carpet and the ceremony itself, they spend hours on the go. Thoughtful host Conan O’Brien prepared a “snack box” at every seat, complete with popcorn, gummy candy, water, and a cute, humorous handwritten note: “These snacks may not look like much, but if you bought them at any movie theater, they’d cost you at least $85.”

You’ve probably wondered what celebrities bring to the ceremony: lipstick? A phone? Snacks? During an interview, former child star Mckenna Grace surprised everyone by pulling Pokémon cards from her pretty pink gown. She said, “I really love Pokémon cards, so I wanted to be the first person to open Pokémon cards at the Oscars (laughs).” The moment she shared them with her actor boyfriend Mason Thames on the red carpet was also adorable.

One of the most anticipated performances at this year’s Oscars was “Golden.” In a nod to K-pop culture, the organizers gave every guest a light stick. Best Actor was one of this year’s toughest categories, with Michael B. Jordan taking home the award for “Sinners” amid fierce competition. After his acceptance speech, audience members captured fellow nominee Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael B. Jordan sharing a big hug that lasted more than 15 seconds.
