And 2026’s most anticipated surprise is the new Beijing-exclusive fragrance, SHIU 25.

A calming woody fragrance: SHIU 25
The fragrance market has grown increasingly crowded over the past few years, yet Le Labo always captures our attention in the most understated way. The new SHIU 25 draws inspiration from Beijing’s tradition and tranquility, especially the Beijing Courtyard Fragrance Lab, located within the historic Beizi Mansion. The fragrance centers on shiu (linaloe wood), intertwined with airy iris and warm, grounding frankincense. Rather than being overly assertive, it feels like pressing pause amid a noisy world.

Compared with the more striking scents in the same collection, this woody fragrance is noticeably more grounding and relaxing. If you like to burn woody incense before bed or prefer understated scents with a wabi-sabi feel, this new fragrance is sure to win you over at first sniff.
SHIU 25 release schedule and size options
If you want to experience SHIU 25, make a note of the release schedule. From August 1 to September 30, the 1.5 ml sample (HK$ 110) and a discovery set featuring five fragrances (HK$ 550) will be available first online and at Fragrance Labs. The highly anticipated standard sizes, from 15 ml to 500 ml, will be available from September 1 to September 30, starting at HK$ 1,225.
Collect the scents of 10 cities at once
If you can’t decide which city’s scent to take home, the new 10-piece 7 ml discovery set (HK$ 4,200) may be the perfect answer. It includes popular favorites such as Seoul’s CITRON 28, Tokyo’s GAIAC 10, and Shanghai’s MYRRHE 55, along with this year’s star: Beijing’s SHIU 25.
