Havaianas teams up with Zellerfeld on 3D-printed flip-flops that cleverly cover your toes, now online in five colorways and ready for summer.
Summer may be sandal season, yet for many of us, showing our toes can still feel a little embarrassing. Even timeless flip-flops may be out of the question. If that sounds familiar, this new style from POPBEE is sure to catch your eye: Who says flip-flops have to leave your toes exposed? The Top Toe collaboration from Havaianas and Zellerfeld may be the answer.

Founded in Brazil in 1962, Havaianas has become synonymous with flip-flops, thanks to its extensive range of instantly recognizable styles. Its platform designs once sparked a wave of popularity in Taiwan, too. Beyond its easygoing beach appeal, the brand has teamed up with German 3D-printing company Zellerfeld to give the flip-flop a more fashion-forward spin. The collaboration debuted at Copenhagen Fashion Week and quickly drew plenty of attention.
Made using Zellerfeld’s one-piece 3D-printing technology, Havaianas’ classic flip-flop appears to have puffed up. The thicker sole improves the feel underfoot, while the rounded toe cleverly covers the toes some may prefer to keep hidden. This reimagining gives Havaianas’ flip-flops a distinct personality and futuristic feel, far removed from the classic version. They are cute on their own or paired with socks.

The Top Toe flip-flops from the Havaianas x Zellerfeld collaboration are now available on Zellerfeld’s official website for US$ 89. Offered in yellow, beige, red, orange, blue, and black, they come in six colorways. If you’re interested, head over for a look.
