據外媒《Life & Style》收到的獨家消息，消息人士指「Selena 和 Justin 正發展超越友誼的關係⋯⋯」Selena 和 Jennifer、Justin 透過共同經理人 Aleen Keshishian 介紹下，經已相識多年，但 Selena 和 Justin 也同樣因分手而跌得傷痕纍纍，因而同聲同氣，越走越近。「他們每天晚上也會 Facetime 和發短訊，談及到自己對人生的事業的看法，二人坦承相對，漸漸將對方視為情感上的支援。」
