Want to secretly watch Stories without getting caught? The brand-new paid Instagram Plus subscription is being tested, and it even shows you who’s secretly watching you!
Stories extended to 48 hours, invisible viewing history… all from about HK$10 a month!
Have you ever wanted to quietly check someone’s Instagram Stories, yet worried about leaving behind a viewing record? Meta seems to have heard users’ wishes. The company has begun testing a new premium subscription service called “Instagram Plus” in select countries. It lets you watch Stories “invisibly” and see who is repeatedly viewing your content. For users seeking greater privacy and control over their data, this may be one of the social media features to watch this year.

Want more freedom to control your Stories? Meta has confirmed that it is testing a new paid subscription service called “Instagram Plus.” Unlike blue-check verification, IG Plus focuses on offering a more advanced Stories experience. It is already being tested in Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines, with monthly subscriptions priced at around US$ 1.07 to US$ 2.20 (about NT$ 35-70 / HK$ 8-17). Its highly affordable price has drawn significant attention!

After subscribing, you can view other people’s Stories anonymously without leaving a record. Better yet, you can search your own viewer list to see exactly whether a specific person has viewed your content and even how many times they have “rewatched” it! No one will be able to secretly lurk in your Stories anymore, fully satisfying everyone’s curiosity.

Think it’s a shame that a carefully crafted Story disappears after 24 hours? Instagram Plus lets users extend the life of specific Stories for another 24 hours! You can also choose one Story each week for “Spotlight,” and the system will push it directly to the front of every follower’s Stories feed. You can even send other users new animated “Superlikes.”

Only having one Close Friends list means you always have to think twice before posting? The new feature will allow you to create “unlimited” audience lists! You can freely group followers based on different social circles, such as coworkers, college classmates, and fellow fans. When posting Stories, you can customize exactly who sees them, making social sharing more private and flexible while perfectly addressing modern social anxiety. If this feature officially launches in Hong Kong and Taiwan, would you be willing to pay the price of a bubble tea for these perks?
