Korea is about to see a wave of fashion reality shows! After Disney+ announced its fashion competition series “Style Wars,” tvN quickly followed suit, recently unveiling its new variety show “Kill It: Style Creator War,” set to air in May and turning the expression of “style” into an intense fashion battle.

100 fashion style creators face off
As a key trendsetter for fashion in Asia, Korea’s definition of a “stylish girl” has long gone beyond simply dressing well. This time, the show held an open casting call for style creators with unique perspectives on styling, visuals, and creativity. Through rounds of themed challenges, contestants will face off through their own sense of aesthetics, with one truly iconic style figure ultimately chosen to represent contemporary K-fashion.

The production team and mentor lineup spare no expense
The show is produced by the original teams behind “Korea’s Next Top Model” and “Project Runway Korea,” and that alone is enough to quietly add it to your watchlist! The mentor lineup also pulls no punches: legendary Korean fashion figure Jang Yoon-ju, actors Lee Jong-won and Cha Jung-won, top models Jang Yoon-ju and Shin Hyun-ji, visual director Ahn Ya-rim, and TXT member Choi Yeonjun, a style icon for the MZ generation. Each brings their own buzz and aesthetic standards.

The contestant lineup is already generating plenty of buzz!
The contestant lineup recently revealed by the production team is just as eye-catching. Familiar faces include Choi Min-a-su from “Single’s Inferno 5” and popular “Street Woman Fighter” dancers Woowa and Capri.
