When it comes to cold-weather footwear, UGG is an essential name in almost every closet. From classic shearling boots to the recently popular Tasman, every pair makes you want to slip them on the moment temperatures drop. But what happens when you combine UGG’s signature plush comfort with a vintage, slightly preppy loafer? For the first time, UGG has joined forces with JW Anderson on a collaborative collection. Through Jonathan Anderson’s consistently playful design lens, familiar autumn footwear gets a fresh look—they even brought in musician Blood Orange to star in the campaign, making it a combination you can’t help but look at twice!

Drawing inspiration from UGG’s signature Classic Boot and Tasman, the two brands are introducing two new silhouettes: the Loafer and the Loafer Boot. The collaboration infuses the vintage profile of a traditional penny loafer with UGG’s signature cozy design. Look closely and you’ll spot rounded toes, distinct square stitching, and a cushioned sole structure, giving a relaxed edge to an otherwise formal shoe. The Loafer Boot in particular cleverly merges a classic ankle boot with a loafer, blending preppy crispness with UGG’s familiar easygoing feel. Compared to standard loafers, this collaboration clearly caters to anyone who wants to look sharp without giving up comfort.

Chestnut, Khaki, and Orange: Every Pair Has a Different Personality

The color palette is equally worth noting! The collection comes in Chestnut, Khaki, and Orange, giving this collaboration a playful twist alongside classic autumn tones. If you lean toward low-key daily style, warm Chestnut pairs easily with jeans and sweaters for an instant autumn feel. Khaki works well mixed with wide-leg pants and blazers for a relaxed, easygoing style. Meanwhile, bright Orange is a fun choice when you want to add a highlight to a simple outfit. Striking a balance between the ease of indoor slippers and the polish of dress shoes, these pairs perfectly echo the growing love for comfortable, stylish outfits.

Beyond the shoes, the campaign for this collaboration is also full of clever details. The brands invited musician and producer Dev Hynes, better known as Blood Orange, to star in the shoot, with Jonathan Anderson personally handling the styling.

Instead of creating an overly glamorous fashion set, the camera moves into an everyday living space, capturing ordinary moments like getting dressed, walking around, and wandering between rooms. Through the clothes and imagery, these seemingly unremarkable slices of life reveal a distinct character, making this collaboration feel less like a simple new shoe release and more like a rethinking of the relationship between fashion and daily life. The UGG × JW Anderson collection is set to launch on October 15, 2026, on both brands’ official websites. If you love vintage loafers but prefer UGG’s cozy fit, you might want to add this collaboration to your autumn shopping list now!
