During the just-concluded Spring/Summer 2027 (SS27) fashion weeks, the most captivating highlights were a series of buzzy collaborations. What started as a look at the new collections ended up revealing familiar names like UGG and HOKA in unexpectedly stylish new forms. These shoes really make you want to add them straight to your shopping cart.

Advisry x HOKA

When you think of HOKA, comfortable performance running shoes are usually the first thing that comes to mind. But at New York Fashion Week, Advisry gave the brand a fresh, street-inspired update. The label redesigned HOKA’s new Clifton UTL, keeping its signature chunky cushioned sole while creating exclusive colorways for the runway. The result gives the functional shoe a relaxed, sharp fashion edge.

UGG’s Two Adorable Transformations

If you still think of UGG as just classic snow boots, the SS27 runways will definitely change your mind. The brand brought two completely different, charming styles to the shows.

Pipenco x UGG

First up is designer Lorena Pipenco’s woodland fairytale take. Inspired by the “Mother of the Forest” from Romanian folklore, she gave familiar styles like the Bucked Tall block-heel boots, the Tazz II, and the Classic Ultra Mini a serene, natural feel.

Dauphinette x UGG

Over at Dauphinette, designer Olivia Cheng turned UGGs into wearable art. Both the Zora ballet flats and the Tasman II were coated in 3D oil-paint brushstrokes reminiscent of Monet’s “Water Lilies.” They even incorporated fabric scraps from the collection, adding a warm, handcrafted touch.

Collina Strada x Converse

Besides HOKA and UGG, there were a few other tempting footwear collaborations on the runway. Collina Strada teamed up with Converse for a new style called the Chuck Taylor Plié. Taking cues from the split-sole design of dance shoes, the style features an asymmetrical square toe and frayed edges, softening the typically unisex Chuck Taylor with a playful touch. These are slated to launch globally on December 3, so mark your calendars if you’re interested.

Susan Fang x Crocs

Elsewhere, Susan Fang planted her signature 3D metallic flowers on Crocs’ new Echo Lume silhouette, while AREA covered TOMS’ everyday flats with its signature rhinestones for an official November release. Masha Popova wrapped the classic Reebok Freestyle Hi sneakers in heavily distressed, faded denim to create a uniquely worn-in look. Nike also teamed up with Charlie Constantinou, bringing special dye treatments to its performance footwear.

LUAR x MCM

Moving away from footwear, LUAR’s show delivered another unmissable highlight. The New York label teamed up with MCM to launch the ANIMA MCM x LUAR Leather Drawstring bag. Rather than a simple reissue, the design pulls details from six vintage bags in MCM’s archives and reconfigures them through designer Raul Lopez’s New York lens, striking a perfect balance between the classic monogram and a sleek, modern silhouette.
