After Lady Dior and the Saddle? Dior’s new Promenade bag aims to make this bow the next It Bag
Low-key at first glance, but the more you look, the more it grows on you
Whenever a designer arrives at a historic fashion house, a few pieces gradually become signatures of their era. Since joining Dior, Jonathan Anderson has reworked the brand’s familiar classic codes, and its bags have naturally been one of the biggest points of focus. In the Fall/Winter 2026 collection, a new name is quietly joining Dior’s handbag lineup: Dior Promenade!

Dior’s next It Bag wouldn’t be complete without a bow
Less poised than the Lady Dior and without the instantly recognizable, striking silhouette of the Saddle Bag, the Promenade feels especially relaxed at first glance. Its structured yet soft body, small bow, and Jonathan Anderson’s reworked Cannage don’t clamor for attention, perhaps making it feel more like a Dior bag you’d actually carry every day.
Bows and ribbons were elements Christian Dior himself loved. In Jonathan Anderson’s hands, they haven’t been rendered overly sweet: deliberately scaled down and paired with a clean rectangular body, the bow becomes just the right accent and is gradually emerging as an important signature of the new generation of accessories since he took the helm at Dior. Another detail worth a closer look is Flat Cannage. The familiar Cannage cane pattern remains, appearing on leather and suede in a flatter, more understated form. It feels less formal than a traditional luxury bag, giving the overall design a younger feel.
Beyond looking good, Jonathan Anderson wants you to carry it every day
The name Promenade already hints at its character: made for heading out, taking a stroll, and fitting into an everyday wardrobe. The Shopping Bag has a soft body and slim handles, while its sliding top handles allow it to be carried by hand, over the shoulder, or crossbody. Inside are a zip pocket and slip pockets. Compared with a statement bag that calls for a particular occasion, the Promenade clearly places more emphasis on practical everyday use.
The material selection is equally extensive, spanning calfskin, suede, and Dior’s classic Oblique jacquard. Colors range from black and beige to soft pastels and more autumn-winter tones such as chestnut brown and rock gray. Beyond the Shopping Bag, the Promenade family currently also includes the Flap Bag, Pouch, and chain-strap Mini Bag in a range of silhouettes.
Entry-level pricing revealed, and it’s available in Taiwan
Size options are another strength of the Promenade. Dior Taiwan’s website currently lists Mini, Small, and Medium versions. The Dior Oblique jacquard Mini Promenade is NT$ 88,000, while the Small is NT$ 105,000. For those who prefer the more understated Flat Cannage calfskin version, the Small costs NT$ 125,000, while the black Medium is NT$ 145,000.
With Dior already home to a long list of classic bags, including the Lady Dior, Saddle, and Book Tote, creating another new silhouette that people will remember isn’t easy. The Promenade’s smart move may be that it doesn’t try to prove itself with an exaggerated design. Familiar Cannage, Dior’s bow, and a shape truly suited to everyday use give it a quiet charm at first glance that becomes more appealing the longer you look at it.
