When it comes to bags, of course we want it all: CHANEL’s latest show lets us have both the 2.55 and the 11.12 classics at once!

Every day of Paris Fashion Week makes fashion lovers’ eyes light up, especially in recent seasons, as new creative directors take the helm at major houses and begin charting their future paths. That includes CHANEL under Matthieu Blazy. His first-season pieces have just hit stores, followed closely by this Fall/Winter 2026 show. Before we get to the full collection, though, the bags deserve center stage, especially this hybrid design that combines the 2.55 and the 11.12 Classic Flap Bag into one.

When it comes to CHANEL’s classic handbags, most people immediately think of two icons: the 2.55 and the 11.12. Here’s a quick rundown: Created by Gabrielle Chanel in 1955, the 2.55 was the house’s first chain-strap bag and has become a classic over the decades. The 11.12, meanwhile, was Karl Lagerfeld’s first bag design for CHANEL. Based on the 2.55’s silhouette, it features the double-C logo and is what handbag fans call the CF, or Classic Flap Bag.
Matthieu Blazy has done more than introduce new bag designs. At the Fall/Winter 2026 show, he combined the 11.12 with the 2.55 to create the Double Flap Bag. Clever visual detailing brings together the 11.12’s double-C logo metal clasp and the 2.55’s rectangular metal lock, along with two top flaps. Its strap also combines the 2.55’s metal chain on one side with the 11.12’s leather-woven chain on the other. If you’re a CHANEL fan too, did you fall in love at first sight?

Along with the classic black version, this season’s show also featured nude and brown styles. The double-flap design could also be seen on other bags. If you’re interested, stay tuned for full details on the bag lineup this fall and winter.
