對於 Roald Dahl 這個名字，相信大家都不會感到陌生，他是英國傑出兒童文學作家，他的作品除了有趣，更加經常被用作教育用途，當中最著名的必定是《Charlie and the Chocolate Factory》（查理與巧克力工廠）、《Matilda》（小魔女瑪蒂達）及《The BFG》（吹夢巨人），一整個 Roald Dahl 系列的故事絕對是陪伴各位成長，其中以《Charlie and the Chocolate Factory》改編成的電影《朱古力獎門人》（台譯：巧克力冒險工廠）及近年迪士尼推出的《吹夢巨人》也相當收歡迎。而 Netflix 就公佈將會把 Roald Dahl 筆下的多部暢銷小說搬上螢幕，跟 Roald Dahl Story Company 簽訂合約，把共 16 部的小說創作成動畫影集，當中包括《Charlie and the Chocolate Factory》、《Matilda》、《The BFG》、《The Twits》、《Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator》、《George’s Marvellous Medicine》、《Boy – Tales of Childhood》、《Going Solo》、《The Enormous Crocodile》、《The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me》、《Henry Sugar》、《Billy and the Minpins》、《The Magic Finger》、《Esio Trot》以及童詩作品《Dirty Beasts》和《Rhyme Stew》。
