北美館新展覽：比利時藝術家 David Claerbout 首次台灣個展《片刻冥想》登場！
對時間、空間與記憶深入反思 …
繼 2004 年台北雙年展曾經與比利時藝術家 David Claerbout 合作後，這回台北市立美術館 Taipei Fine Arts Museum 將再度展出他各個時期的精彩創作，首次來到台灣舉辦個展的 David Claerbout，不僅透過影像媒介回應歷史與文明的諸多議題，從中探尋影像感知的更多可能性，也為當代藝術注入虛實交替的冥想時空。

2023 年第二季，北美館迎來了全新的 David Claerbout 個展《大衛・克拉耶伯：片刻冥想》，展名從其創作概念出發，呈現 David Claerbout 作品中事物看似對立卻共存的特質，如光之於影、水之於火、祥和之於驚恐、暴力之於寧靜、前景之於背景的關係，當中精選了 6 件 1996 年以來的大型錄像作品，搭配系列的手繪稿展出，在挑高的展場空間中，觀眾將沈浸於靜觀冥想的時空，在瞬時與驟停的視覺畫面裡深深著迷。

David Claerbout
比利時出生的 David Claerbout，在安特衛普皇家藝術學院及阿姆斯特丹皇家視覺藝術學院畢業後，於安特衛普和柏林兩地居住與創作，連續數年的獲獎紀錄令他有著豐富經歷，先後受到巴黎龐畢度藝術中心、密爾沃基美術博物館、以及各國雙年展與藝術計劃的肯定，在 David Claerbout 的作品中，可以看到手繪結合攝影、聲音、數位技術與電腦影像生成的創作，其擅長操控影像的靜與動，創造時間的可能性，引發觀者對時間、空間與記憶深入反思，感興趣的讀者們，不妨可以親自前往北美館觀展。
