The Final Mercury Retrograde of 2026 Is Here! Landing in Scorpio, These 3 Zodiac Signs Need a Deep Breath

Over the past few days, have you also felt a subtle shift in the air? Whether you suddenly thought of someone you haven’t spoken to in a while, or plans you made suddenly ran into unexpected changes, don’t blame yourself just yet. The last Mercury retrograde of 2026 officially kicks off on October 24, landing in Scorpio, a sign known for keeping its emotions hidden deep down.

During a typical Mercury retrograde, we usually focus on backing up files and watching out for flight delays. But with Mercury moving into Scorpio, this cycle acts more like a detective. Instead of small daily hassles, it tends to dredge up old debts, lingering grudges, and secrets we’d rather avoid. If an ex suddenly texts or you suddenly gain clarity on past relationship drama right now, that’s completely normal.

3 zodiac signs that need a deep breath during this Mercury retrograde

While everyone feels the effects of Mercury retrograde, astrologers highlight three signs that will feel a stronger impact through November 13. If your sign is on the list, remember to be gentle with yourself over the coming weeks.

Scorpio: Facing your past head-on

Because this retrograde happens directly in your sign, you will feel it most intensely. You might notice old relationships you thought you were over, or former unhealthy dynamics, quietly creeping back into your life. Don’t let it frustrate you right away; the universe is actually giving you a chance to see how much you’ve grown. When you hit an emotional roadblock, face it honestly. This time, you have what it takes to say a proper goodbye.

Taurus: Tests in relationships and partnerships

Since Scorpio sits directly opposite your sign, this retrograde hits your romantic and business partnerships head-on. Communicating lately might feel frustrating, like the other person is constantly missing the point or dredging up old arguments. Avoid making impulsive decisions in the heat of the moment. Take time to talk things through clearly; this is actually a great window to clear the air on hidden grievances once and for all.

Gemini: A million thoughts racing through your head

Since Mercury rules Gemini, any retrograde hits you hard. But with this one taking place in Scorpio, overthinking might be your biggest challenge. If you catch yourself obsessing over a punctuation mark in a text or wondering if someone’s tone was cold, stop yourself right there. Don’t let internal anxiety ruin a good mood.

A little retrograde advice for everyone

Mercury retrograde isn’t a scary monster; think of it as a forced pause to hit reset and organize. Over these three weeks, if you need to sign contracts, switch jobs, or make major decisions, hold off if you can. If you must move forward, double-check every contract detail.

Count to three in your head before speaking, and don’t force yourself to act fine if you’re upset. Take this opportunity to tidy up your space and your mind. Once Mercury turns direct on November 13, you will feel a whole lot lighter.
