Used like shampoo to cleanse the scalp, it can effectively remove oil and buildup, leaving the scalp feeling fresh rather than greasy. Bangs and roots look more voluminous, and can remain lifted and oil-free even the next day. That’s because salicylic acid is a common ingredient in oil-control shampoos, helping promote scalp cell turnover and reduce oil buildup.
Many users also recommend using it as a body wash. Its 0.45% salicylic acid gently removes dead skin cells, improves rough, bumpy texture, and cleanses pore buildup, helping to improve roughness and dullness on the body. It’s especially suited to areas affected by keratosis pilaris or dullness, including the arms, underarms, and back. It cleanses while moisturizing without compromising the skin’s natural barrier.
