Following Stockholm and Beijing, Cartier has opened a new chapter of its EN ÉQUILIBRE high jewelry collection in Taipei with an international exhibition bringing together more than 350 pieces and offering an in-depth interpretation of the beauty of balance. Featuring the new high jewelry collection, high jewelry watches, fine watchmaking, and rare creations appearing in Taiwan for the first time, this is more than an exhibition. It’s like an aesthetic narrative by Cartier, quietly unfolding above the city skyline!

If “balance” is an abstract aesthetic concept, EN ÉQUILIBRE is Cartier’s tangible interpretation of it. For the brand, balance has never meant rigid symmetry; it means finding just the right place between opulence and restraint, tension and negative space. The high jewelry exhibition in Taipei brings together more than 350 pieces, including the new high jewelry collection, high jewelry watches, fine watchmaking, and the Cartier Collection of historic pieces, with many appearing in Taiwan for the first time. The exhibition unfolds in two chapters, “Interwoven Colors” and “Composed Light and Shadow,” presenting Cartier’s command of proportion, layering, and craftsmanship through gemstone colors, three-dimensional structures, and spatial light and shadow.

“Interwoven Colors” focuses on the expressive power of gemstones, from subtle gradations to bold contrasts, making color more than an accent and part of the overall composition. “Composed Light and Shadow,” meanwhile, uses openwork designs, architectural lines, and sculptural contours to reveal the delicate balance jewelry achieves between weight and lightness. Beyond the pieces on display, there is also a Les Moments Cartier space led by Alexandre Auberson, director of the Cartier Jewelry Institute, which gives guests a closer look at the journey of high jewelry from inspiration to completion. On the other side, the Special Order area uses rare gemstones to open up more personalized possibilities for bespoke creations.
