Paterson Street turns into a skate park with limited-time eats and vinyl DJ sets — this early summer party is unmissable

Starting May 22, Fashion Walk’s Paterson Street in Causeway Bay is hosting the “Paterson Vibe” themed event, bringing street sports, vinyl music, and pet activities together in one neighborhood. Four weekend parties will follow, including a Whiskers N Paws dog obstacle challenge and a street vinyl music party, making it a trend destination not to be missed in Hong Kong this early summer.

7 photo spots to capture your OOTD

As you enter the event, you’re greeted by a retro neon-themed sign, with a stool covered in street-style stickers beside it. Snap a photo and you’ve got a fashion shot full of attitude. For this event, the organizers have brought skatepark and industrial-inspired elements outdoors, along with a display of 8FIVE2 founder Brian’s personal skateboard collection. Whether you’re into music or streetwear, or simply looking for photo inspiration over the weekend, you’ll find your own rhythm here.

A party for furry friends, too

Beyond the street-style attractions, the most anticipated event is the pet carnival on June 13. Paterson Street and the Fashion Walk atrium will become a party paradise for furry friends, with the atrium hosting a Whiskers N Paws dog obstacle challenge. Trainers will also be on hand with free tips on reading your dog’s body language. Paterson Street will also feature tattoo sticker booths, pet retail stalls, and photo booths, where pets can dress up in streetwear brands such as adidas Originals and JUICE and pose for photos.

Char siu pizza and limited-edition drinks make a surprise debut

The limited-edition food offerings push the boundaries of what we expect from cross-brand collaborations. Local Italian restaurant JACOMAX has teamed up with Kam Tong Roast Goose, which has been generating plenty of buzz lately, to boldly put its popular char siu on pizza. Coffee lovers can also try Hypebeans’ specially made yuzu coffee drink, whose refreshing sweet-tart flavor and coffee aroma make it an ideal way to cool down in summer.

Four consecutive weekends of street parties

To experience the purest Paterson Vibe, keep an eye on the upcoming weekend party schedule. Mercury Recalls kicks things off on May 23 with a vinyl DJ party and a vinyl record market featuring records from around the world. June will bring a skateboarding competition, the pet carnival, and a Cantonese music rave street party led by local DJ collective Cantomania.
