Has Justin Bieber returned with a new tattoo?
Returning to the Grammy stage for the first time in four years, Justin Bieber was nominated for four awards and performed “Yukon” from his album “Swag.” Wearing only silk boxer shorts from his own streetwear brand, skylrk, and holding the purple guitar that represents his early career, he sang live throughout under a single spotlight, moving the entire room with a performance that returned to his roots. When the camera turned to the audience, his wife Hailey sweetly pinched her fingers together to cheer him on, making it hard not to smile.

That wasn’t the only attention-grabbing part of his performance. Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed a brand-new tattoo on Justin Bieber’s back. Longtime fans said that Hailey had once mentioned she didn’t want him to get any more back tattoos, and he replied at the time that he was saving that spot for “something important.” The sudden appearance of the new design immediately sparked discussion: Some wondered whether the “woman looking back in the woods” was Hailey, while others believed it was simply an image of Jesus representing faith. Justin has yet to explain it himself, but the sweet, unresolved mystery has already given fans plenty to swoon and scream over.

Beyond Justin and Hailey, a few other couples supporting one another were equally heartwarming. Billie Eilish and her boyfriend Nat Wolff made their first public appearance together this year. Lady Gaga, meanwhile, choked up during her acceptance speech for Best Pop Vocal Album as she sincerely thanked her fiancé Michael Polansky and expressed her love for him. ROSÉ Is Having the Time of Her Life
Nominated for a Grammy for the first time as a solo artist, ROSÉ naturally drew plenty of attention this year. She didn’t seem nervous at all, though; instead, she was clearly having a great time. During her performance of “APT.” with Bruno Mars, she kissed him on the cheek as soon as she came onstage, instantly firing up the crowd. Stars in the audience soon rose to their feet and danced along.

After stepping offstage, ROSÉ was still arm-in-arm with Bruno Mars, happily playing around and interacting with him. She also chatted and took photos with friends including Addison Rae, Laufey, and Sabrina Carpenter, creating a relaxed, joyful atmosphere. That unforced ease is also what makes her most captivating on the international stage.
Stars Wear “ICE OUT” Pins
This year’s Grammys were not only a stage for performances and awards, but also a focal point for social issues. Many stars wore small white ICE OUT pins to oppose the deportation policies of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). When Bad Bunny accepted Album of the Year, he opened his speech with “ICE out,” prompting cheers from the entire room. He stressed: “We are not savages, and we are not aliens. We are human beings, and we are Americans.” No matter their nationality, no one should be oppressed, ignored, or excluded, he said, calling for love to fight hate.
When SZA and Kendrick Lamar won Song of the Year for “Luther,” SZA said, “I know things are scary right now, but please don’t fall into despair. We are not ruled by the government; we are ruled by God.” Other winners also used their time onstage as a platform to speak out, including Song of the Year winner Billie Eilish and Best New Artist Olivia Dean, making the music and the messages equally moving.
