#PFW: Hermès FW26 bags are set to go viral, Bolide and Plume get stunning new colors and that lime green is impossible to miss!

For this show, Hermès covered the historic Garde Républicaine barracks with a soft moss carpet. Under dreamy blue lighting, creative director Nadège Vanhee once again delivered a flawless collection. Beyond the geometric ready-to-wear, I couldn’t take my eyes off the bags carried by the models, especially the classic Bolide and Plume. Reimagined in irresistible new colors and materials, every one looks destined to be a hit.

Bolide variations: Deep Oxblood and geometric patchwork

The Bolide gets a more modern interpretation this season. Drawing on the inspiration behind the season, A.M. Cassandre’s “Perspective” scarf, its rounded lines are sleeker and more elongated, almost giving it a sense of speed.

The most striking element is undoubtedly the use of new colors. We saw richly textured Oxblood and Deep Chocolate, whose deep tones give the smooth leather a captivating sheen that’s perfect for fall and winter. Another version combines army-green canvas and leather in a geometric patchwork design, giving this elegant bag a cool, gender-neutral edge and making it a power accessory for working women.
💚 Plume’s comeback: Lime Green and pure white ostrich leather

If you love understated luxury, you’ll fall for this season’s Plume. Known for its boxy silhouette, the bag takes on two distinctly different personalities for FW26.
First is the unforgettable Lime Green. On a fall-winter runway dominated by dark tones, this bright green is a brilliant touch. In suede or velvet-like materials, the saturated color feels softer and more sophisticated, and it’s sure to turn heads. The other is the supremely elegant White Ostrich: crisp white paired with ostrich leather’s distinctive raised-dot texture, as pure as the first snow of winter, perfectly demonstrating Hermès’s mastery of rare leathers.

Beyond the colors, this season’s details are full of thoughtful touches. To echo the geometric patterns in the clothing, the connections between the bag handles and bodies have been carefully designed for improved ergonomics and visual balance. Some styles also feature silver metal clasps resembling door latches, adding a sharp, futuristic edge to the soft leather. From the classic Birkin to the new shoulder bags, traditional craftsmanship is infused with the spirit of modern architecture.
